Job description

We’re excited to be opening a brand-new Nursery in Maidenhead, and we’re looking for an inspiring, hands‑on Nursery Manager to bring it to life.

This is an incredible opportunity to lead from day one: shaping the team, creating a warm and nurturing environment, and building strong relationships with families as the nursery opens its doors.

Position: Nursery Manager

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per year.

Location: Theodore’s House, 2 Castle Hill Terrace, SL6 4JP

Nursery opening hours: 7:30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll need to succeed?
  • A passion and dedication to providing world‑class care to children
  • To hold a full and relevant early years qualification of Level 3 or above
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem‑solving and organisational skills
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Childcare Qualification
What you will be asked to do:
  • Developing and leading the nursery team, ensuring they are performing at their very best every day
  • Responsible for colleague engagement, performance management and personal development, ensuring alignment with our company ethos and values
  • Responsible for overseeing the curriculum implementation and alignment of the EYFS
  • Support with the financial side of operations including fee collection, invoicing, and management of the nursery budget
  • Lead the ongoing monitoring and analysis of nursery performance against KPIs
  • Responsible for building strong long‑standing relationships with parents and carers to ensure they feel informed, valued and involved
  • Being a role model to all colleagues
