We're Hiring: Nursery Manager

Location: Ipswich | Salary: £37.5k-£42k | Full-time

Group 12 Limited is on the lookout for a passionate Nursery Manager to lead one of our growing settings. If you're experienced in childcare, love working with children, and have strong leadership skills - we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Operational

  • Oversee daily nursery operations, ensuring compliance with all EYFS, Ofsted, health & safety, and safeguarding standards
  • Act as key holder and ensure nursery security
  • Promote and maintain high occupancy through excellent parent partnerships and community engagement
  • Lead curriculum planning and ensure a stimulating, inclusive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for internal and external use
  • Organise and attend parent evenings, open days, and local events

Staff Leadership & HR

  • Lead, support and develop the nursery team through effective communication, appraisals, and training
  • Recruit and onboard staff following safer recruitment practices
  • Manage staffing ratios and daily deployment
  • Address underperformance and disciplinary issues when needed
  • Create a positive, professional working culture

Finance

  • Manage nursery budget in collaboration with senior management
  • Monitor fee payments and manage nursery accounts
  • Maintain accurate data using nursery systems
