Nursery Manager Job Opportunity

We are working with a well-established nursery setting seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead their team and ensure the highest standards of care and early years education.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced deputy or current nursery manager who is passionate about creating a positive, inclusive, and enriching environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards
  2. Lead, support, and motivate a team of early years practitioners
  3. Ensure high-quality care and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  4. Manage nursery budgets, rotas, admissions, and operational processes
  5. Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, and external agencies
  6. Prepare for and respond to inspections and audits (e.g., Ofsted)
  7. Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and record-keeping protocols
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (Level 5 or above desirable)
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within an early years setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding practices, and Ofsted requirements
  • Confident leader with excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Paediatric First Aid and up-to-date Safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain)
