Overview

We are looking for an experienced, inspiring and ambitious candidate to join our Nursery Management Team. We have 6 nurseries in Huddersfield & Halifax ranging from 31 places up to 104 places.

Excellent Training and Mentor support will be provided. Portland Nurseries offers staff a wealth of training opportunities through in-house training led by managers and national accredited training programmes. Responsibilities
  • Join our Nursery Management Team as a senior leader responsible for guiding the nursery operations.
  • Lead a staff team, including supervision and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
  • A higher level qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education / Childhood Studies is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience in an early years setting.
  • Leadership experience in an early years setting.
  • Understanding of leading a staff team, including supervision and professional development.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
  • Understanding of child protection processes.
