An exciting opportunity for an inspirational Nursery Manager to join the team in Brighton and Hove

This is a fantastic role for someone who would like to be very hands on, supporting and developing a passionate team of practitioners.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Education
  • Minimum 2 year's Management experience
  • Minimum 3 years' Nursery experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
  • Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to: child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and SEN/Inclusion

Key Responsibilities and Duties include

  • To manage the provision of the nursery ensuring that children, parents, and the staff team work together to provide high quality childcare.
  • To assume DSL responsibilities for the Nursery and be accountable for ensuring all safeguarding duties and reporting are delivered in line with both internal polices and legislative requirements to maintain the safety and wellbeing of children in your care.
  • To be responsible for the management of day-to-day financial and operational success within the nursery, by meeting financial targets and managing the occupancy ensuring maximum capacity and running all processes efficiently and in line with expected standards.
  • To agree and set nursery goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets.
  • To monitor and assess the quality of provision ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice, and standards are maintained.
