Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery in Leicester, Leicestershire.

Person Specification:
  • Level 3 Childcare or above
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
  • Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Responsibilities of the Nursery Manager include:
  • Managing budgets, marketing, occupancy levels, and KPIs
  • Preparing for and managing Ofsted inspections
  • Assisting in the recruitment of nursery staff, managing inductions, supervisions, and appraisals
  • Leading the team and supporting EYFS planning and reflective practice
  • Managing staff rotas and staff meetings
  • Ensuring children's observations, assessments, and development records are maintained
  • Managing marketing activities such as open days and promotions
  • Taking lead responsibility for Safeguarding and Health & Safety, ensuring all staff follow policies and procedures
  • Working in partnership with parents to form caring and trusting relationships
