Job summary

Shaw Education Trust seeks a caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team on a fixed-term, part-time basis during lunchtimes. You will support Nursery children, foster independence, promote good manners and safeguard wellbeing during lunch breaks.

The role is based at Redhill, Cannock Chase, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will have experience with young children, be patient, and work well within the Early Years team, contributing to a nurturing learning

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children, ideally in Early Years.
• Patience, care and ability to build positive relationships.
• Support with eating, hygiene and social interaction at lunchtime.
• Work effectively as part of the Early Years team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursery children with lunchtime routines.
• Encourage independence and good manners during lunch.
• Promote wellbeing and safeguarding during break times.
• Contribute to a safe, positive lunchtime environment.
• Support staff during the lunchtime period.
