Job summary

Family First Group’s Ramsey Nursery in the United Kingdom is seeking a Nursery Chef to join the team. The role is year-round with shifts from 8:00 to 15:30 or 9:00 to 16:30 and approximately 33 hours per week at £12.71 per hour.

You will maintain kitchen hygiene, cater for dietary requirements, manage budgets, and collaborate with nursery staff and parents to provide healthy, age-appropriate meals for young children.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of managing different dietary requirements around food allergies.
• Sound knowledge of COSHH.
• Able to work to a catering budget with consistent food service quality.
• Experience in cooking in domestic or commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean and safe, adhering to required standards.
• Complete the Kitchen Hygiene Checklist monthly and display the Cleaning Schedule.
• Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals daily with minimal waste.
• Cater for dietary needs and communicate requirements to teams.
• Plan orders to meet budgets while maintaining quality.
