Job summary

Kids Planet Whiston is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare healthy meals for children. This 20-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday, 10 am–2 pm, providing a friendly, supportive environment within a welcoming UK-wide nursery group.

You will assist the chef with meals, handle dietary needs, and keep the kitchen clean and hygienic. We offer accredited training through KP Academy, free meals, enhanced holiday allowance, wellbeing rewards, and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Catering experience, preferably in a similar environment.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
• Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• By supporting the chef in preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children.
• Through catering for allergies and special dietary needs, ensuring all food is safe and suitable.
• By keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, following hygiene and safety standards.
