Job summary

The Severn Bridges MAT - Sundorne Infant School & Nursery is seeking a reliable nursery assistant to join our team on a maternity cover until July 2027. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:15pm, term time only (43.60 weeks).

Grade 5 salary (£13.70-£13.92) with actual annual £17,917.72. Responsibilities include acting as a keyworker, ensuring safe activities within the early years framework, and liaising with parents to support health, wellbeing, learning and development.

Qualifications

• Act as a keyworker to a small group of children.
• Ensure that activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with statutory responsibilities.
• Work creatively with children within the early year’s framework, as instructed by the Nursery Leader.
• Liaise closely with parents to support them to promote their child’s health, wellbeing, learning and development.
