Job summary

Tops Wareham Nursery in Wareham, Dorset, is seeking a dedicated Nursery Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for children and staff. The role is part-time, 15 hours per week, paying £12.72 per hour, with duties across cleaning, laundry, and stock management.

You will join a friendly team in a well‑established day nursery, with safeguarding checks in place, and opportunities to contribute to high standards of hygiene and care.

Qualifications

• Takes pride in their work and has an eye for detail.

• Understands the importance of cleanliness in a childcare setting.
• Can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Has previous cleaning or housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all areas of the nursery are clean, tidy, and well presented
• Cleaning toilets, nappy changing areas, and staff areas regularly
• Managing laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding
• Maintaining stock levels of cleaning materials and supplies
• Supporting staff in keeping rooms tidy and safe for children
• Adhering to health and safety and infection control standards at all times
