Job summary

Bretsa is seeking an Early Years Educator with Level 3 or above in Early Years to join our Surbiton team. You’ll care for, support, share a story or two, and have fun to meet the needs of our children.

You will promote high standards of quality in the nursery, ensure rich and stimulating experiences for children, maintain records and support staff to deliver high‑quality childcare in a compliant setting.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 or higher in Early Years required.
  • Ability to care for and support children with engaging activities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child development principles.

Responsibilities

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery environment.
  • Ensure rich, stimulating experiences appropriate to each child's development.
  • Maintain children's records and nursery inventories.
  • Assist with regulatory inspections and implement recommendations.
  • Ensure staff are trained and compliant with first aid qualifications.
  • Contribute to occupancy targets and staff recruitment/induction.
  • Support and supervise playroom staff in day-to-day duties.

Job description

Day Nursery in Surbiton is looking for an Early Years Educator with Level 3 or above in Early Years to join our team. You’ll be working hard to care for, support, share a story or two, and have fun to meet the needs of our children.

What will you be doing
  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Responsible for all administrative duties associated with the nursery, such as maintaining children’s records, ordering equipment, maintaining inventories, and keeping personnel records
  • Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations
  • Be responsible for ensuring the nursery remains compliant in respect of suitably trained staff with relevant first aid qualifications
  • Agree and deliver occupancy targets
  • Recruit, induct, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
