Job description

TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with a group of nurseries across Nottinghamshire that provide exceptional care to children. These nurseries ensure all staff are well trained in the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding, supporting children’s development through stimulating activities that enhance their cognitive and motor skills.

The nursery is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be supported by the team and gain experience working with children aged 6 months to 4 years. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, flexible, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

As an Early Years Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children's activities and learning experiences
  • Assisting with daily routines and maintaining a safe environment
  • Engaging with children to promote their development

Preferred qualifications and qualities include:

  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification (those without a Level 3 are encouraged to apply)
  • A calm, patient, and caring personality
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Previous nursery experience
