Job description

TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with a group of nurseries across Nottinghamshire that provide exceptional care to children. The nurseries ensure all staff are well trained in the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding to support children's development. They offer various learning opportunities to help children develop new skills, stimulating their interests and fostering cognitive and motor development.

The nursery is looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be supported by the team and gain experience working with children aged 6 months to 4 years. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, flexible in their approach, and enthusiastic about developing new skills in the early years sector.

As an Early Years Assistant, you will:

  • Be a driver (preferably)
  • Be eager to learn and gain knowledge of the Early Years sector
  • Participate in training related to Safeguarding and the EYFS curriculum

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent (those without a Level 3 are encouraged to apply)
  • A calm, patient, and caring personality
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience in a nursery setting
