Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Deputy Room Leader to join our vibrant team. As a Deputy Room Leader, you will assist the Room Leader in providing exceptional care and early education to children in a safe and stimulating environment.

Your role will be essential in creating an inclusive atmosphere where children can thrive. You will help in planning engaging activities that promote children's development, ensuring each child's individual needs are met. Strong communication with parents, caregivers, and colleagues will be central to your role as you build lasting relationships and support the children's well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Room Leader in implementing the EYFS framework through planning and executing appropriate activities.
  • Assist in daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
  • Supervise and mentor nursery staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about children's progress and well-being.
  • Step in as the Room Leader during their absence to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a nursery setting, especially in a leadership role.

  • Ability to lead, inspire, and work as part of a team.
