Nursery Deputy Manager (12 Months Maternity Cover) (SG18) - £13.75 per hour

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Manager to join this OFSTED-rated Outstanding Pre-School in SG18. The nursery encourages exploration, investigation, and adventure for children and is committed to their welfare, wellbeing, and development. This role is Monday - Friday, 42 weeks per year (39 weeks of term time, plus 3 weeks of holiday activities).

What we need from you:
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Experience in an Early Years leadership role
  • Confident decision-maker with experience supporting and leading staff
  • Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Effective communication skills with children and adults
Your duties will include:
  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver excellent care and education
  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing safeguarding policies and practices
  • Supporting professional development, training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Building partnerships with colleagues, parents, and professionals
  • Promoting the nursery to current and prospective families
  • Ensuring the nursery's commercial success by managing expenditure and KPIs
  • Engaging with the Local Authority to support nursery practice
