The Job:

A well-established commercial nursery is seeking a Nursery Crop Manager to lead crop production across multiple sites. The role focuses on producing high-quality plants efficiently, maintaining hygiene, safety, and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Overseeing plant production operations across nursery locations
2. Collaborating with commercial teams for procurement of seeds and materials
3. Forecasting crop volumes and planning crop trials to meet production goals
4. Monitoring pest, disease, and weed control in line with hygiene and safety standards
5. Ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements (e.g., LEAF, Red Tractor)
6. Supervising and developing crop production teams, including performance and holiday planning
7. Managing nursery equipment use and site cleanliness
8. Providing updates, stock tracking, and end-of-season reports to senior leadership
9. Supporting knowledge-sharing and training on horticultural best practices
