Job summary

Kids Planet Sandymoor is recruiting a Nursery Cook to join our friendly team. You will prepare healthy meals for children, accommodate dietary needs and maintain a clean kitchen. The role runs Monday to Friday with no weekends or bank holidays, and offers training through KP Academy along with a supportive central team.

We value inclusivity and safeguarding; DBS checks are part of the role, with ongoing training and development opportunities to help you thrive within our family-run nurseries.

Qualifications

• Catering experience required, ideally in a nursery or similar setting.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.
• Knowledge of preparing meals for special dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals and accommodate allergies and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and ensure compliance with EH standards.
• Collaborate with children and nursery team in snack-making and baking activities.

Being a Nursery Cook at Kids Planet gives you the opportunity to work Monday to Friday, NO WEEKENDS or BANK HOLIDAYS and allows you to be inventive creating menus and giving our children access to delicious tasting meals.

How you’ll make a difference as a Nursery Cook:

What a Nursery Cook needs:

• Catering experience, preferably in a similar environment.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of food preparation for special dietary needs.
