Mama Bear’s Day Nursery is seeking a reliable Cook to prepare nutritious, home‑cooked meals for babies and young children in Speedwell, following a set menu. The Nursery Cook will handle breakfasts, lunches and teas, manage stock and uphold high hygiene standards in a busy kitchen.

You should have nursery or similar setting experience, plus knowledge of allergies and cross‑contamination; Safer Food Better Business familiarity is a plus. We offer great perks, progression, and a supportive team.

Mama Bear’s Day Nursery is looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join our friendly team in Speedwell. Our nursery provides a warm, welcoming environment for children aged 3 months to 4 years, and we are committed to offering nutritious, home‑cooked meals every day.

The Nursery Cook will prepare and cook fresh breakfasts, lunches and teas for babies and young children, following a set menu. Duties also include stock management, maintaining a clean kitchen, washing up and ensuring high standards of hygiene at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience cooking in a similar environment (school, nursery, care setting or catering)
• Knowledge of allergies, dietary requirements and cross‑contamination
• Familiarity with Safer Food Better Business (preferred)
• High standards of cleanliness and organisation
