Job summary

Mama Bear's Day Nursery is seeking a Cook to join our setting in Downend, Bristol. You will prepare fresh breakfasts, lunches and teas for children aged 3 months to 4 years, following a set menu while ensuring high hygiene standards.

The role includes stock management, washing up and maintaining a clean kitchen. A Food Hygiene certificate is essential and familiarity with Safer Food Better Business is preferred. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in a similar environment.
• Familiar with allergy awareness, dietary requirements and cross contamination.
• Very high levels of cleanliness and hygiene required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh breakfasts, lunches and teas for babies and young children to a set menu.
• Manage stock and maintain kitchen supplies.

Mama Bear's Day Nursery is currently recruiting for aCookto join our friendly setting based in Downend, Bristol. Our setting offers a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment to children and is focused on providing outstanding care to children from 3 months old to 4 years of age.

The role involves preparing and cooking fresh breakfasts, home cooked lunches, and teas for babies and young children to a set menu. As well as preparing food, the role will involve stock management, washing up duties and maintaining a clean kitchen. Very high levels of cleanliness and hygiene are required and familiarity with Safer Food Better Business is preferred. Food Hygiene certificate is essential.

The ideal Candidate will have experience of cooking in a similar environment. Awareness of allergy’s, dietary requirements and cross contamination is essential.

Due to the nature of the role it will be necessary for an enhanced criminal record disclosure to be undertaken.
