Small People Nursery is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Housekeeper to support our busy childcare team in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our children.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a supportive nursery team. You will be responsible for ensuring that all nursery areas are cleaned and maintained to an exceptionally high standard, helping create a safe and hygienic space where children can learn and play.
This position involves evening working and key holder responsibilities.
We are looking for someone who:
Takes pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential
Carry out daily cleaning across the nursery including classrooms, bathrooms, corridors and staff areas
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with nursery hygiene procedures
Clean toilets, sinks and changing areas and dispose of waste appropriately
Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock to management
Follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning products
Ensure the nursery is safe, hygienic and prepared for the following day
Lock and secure the premises as part of key holder responsibilities
