Job summary

Early Years Alliance’s Farcet Village Nursery in Farcet is seeking a dedicated Nursery Cleaner to help keep play areas, classrooms and facilities clean and safe for children and staff. The role is part-time, with 5 hours per week across 39 weeks, and requires adherence to hygiene standards.

Applicants should understand COSHH and safe chemical handling, and be prepared for an enhanced DBS check as part of safeguarding responsibilities.

About The Role

We have an opportunity for a Nursery Cleaner to work in our Farcet Village Nursery based in Farcet. The nursery is part of a group of full daycare nurseries across England which provides childcare and support for young children and their families.

Main duties

• You will need to clean all rooms within the nursery and to be responsible for meeting all environmental health and health safety regulations.
• You will also regulate cleaning materials and collate orders as appropriate.

Requirements

• The ability to understand how to ensure that there is a clean, healthy and safe environment for the children and staff.
• An awareness of COSHH and the handling, and storage of chemicals.
• You will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, if your current certificate is not subscribed to the update service.

Hours per week: 5

Weeks per year: 39
