Job Title: Nursery Class Teacher / Lead
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Salary: £40,391 - £57,018 (MPS/UPS) (TLR £5,632)
  • Location: Kensington
About the Role:

The successful candidate will be expected to raise the standards of attainment of pupils in their class, ensure planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet learners' needs, and maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.

The core purpose of this role is to be an outstanding and confident classroom practitioner demonstrating the highest standards of teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the progress and attainment of all pupils
  • Assist in tracking student progress and implement positive intervention methods to increase attainment
  • Actively contribute to teaching all pupils
  • Deliver quality daily phonics lessons
  • Stay informed of current developments in the subject area, participate in INSET, and initiate change where appropriate
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of various teaching methods and implement them in the classroom

Leadership and Management:

  • Pupil assessment
  • Evaluate the impact of your work through data analysis, questionnaires, monitoring visits, etc.
  • Possess excellent ICT skills and utilize them as tools in the classroom
  • Provide accurate information to parents as directed by the school and attend parents’ evenings and other meetings
  • Maintain an organized and effective learning environment
  • Take responsibility for professional development in discussion with the Headteacher
  • Undertake any duties reasonably required by the Headteacher
