Job description

Birches First School is a popular one form entry First school with a 39 place Nursery. We are seeking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, experienced, committed and highly motivated Nursery Teacher with a passion for Early Years to join our strong and dedicated EYFS team on a Part Time basis starting September 2025.

We are looking for someone who:
  1. Is an exceptional EYFS Teacher with drive and aspiration
  2. Is able to inspire and motivate our youngest children to achieve their full potential
  3. Has good IT skills – the need to provide remote/virtual teaching
  4. Is committed to setting high standards
  5. Has a proven track record of raising pupil outcomes as a teacher
  6. Has enthusiasm, integrity and presence as well as excellent communication and organisational skills
  7. Actively prioritises safeguarding and the wellbeing of children in all developments and actions
  8. Demonstrates a good understanding of EYFS curriculum design and reform, and how this can be successfully implemented within the school
  9. Is committed to working closely with Governors, parents and the wider community
  10. Will champion a sense of pride in our community

The successful candidates will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks including a health check, an enhanced DBS check, background screening and satisfactory references.

Unfortunately, we will not be appointing an ECT for this role.
