Nursery Assistant – Independent Nursery School – Wandsworth

Are you passionate about working with young children and making a difference in their early years? A warm and welcoming independent nursery school in Wandsworth is looking for a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their nurturing team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the development and care of young children, helping them explore and grow through play-based activities. What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support the day-to-day care and learning of children aged 2-5 years
  • Encourage children’s curiosity, creativity, and exploration through a range of engaging activities
  • Help with personal care routines and promote good hygiene practices
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where children feel happy and valued
  • Work alongside other staff to plan and deliver fun, educational activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Build positive relationships with children and parents, ensuring open communication and a strong partnership
What We’re Looking For:
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
  • Experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is preferred, but not essential
  • A friendly, patient, and positive attitude, with the ability to engage children in learning activities
  • A team player with strong communication skills
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS check required
