UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

The Country Mouse Nursery in Midhurst is now part of the Little Barn Owls Forest and Farm School Nursery Group. We are seeking Bank Nursery Assistants.

What does this role require?

As a bank nursery assistant, you will be fun, energetic, and not afraid of a little dirt (we are a group of Forest and Farm School Nurseries, after all!). You need to work well as part of a team and be ready to support your colleagues wherever needed. Experience in childcare is a bonus, but a willingness to enjoy spending time with children aged 3 months to 5 years is essential.

The role of the Nursery Assistant

Bank nursery assistants are vital for the smooth daily operation of our nurseries, covering staff sickness and holidays, and supporting where required. You will contribute to the happiness and wellbeing of all children. Our nurseries are predominantly child-led with an emergent curriculum, so you must be adaptable and support learning in the moment.

Important information:
  • Our nurseries operate 51 weeks per year, from 7:30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • We provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified persons without regard to race, creed, colour, religious belief, sex, age, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, or veteran status.
  • We are committed to safeguarding children and staff. An enhanced DBS check and suitable references are required.
  • This is a zero-hours contract.
About us

Our innovative, creative, Reggio Emilia-inspired Farm and Forest Schools Nursery Group is recognized worldwide for their approach to Early Years Education.
