Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a welcoming nursery in Sheffield to recruit a qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner on a temporary to permanent basis. You will support children with daily activities and promote play-based teaching to boost learning and development.

In this role you will assist with routines such as breakfast, lunch and dinner when required, while maintaining a caring, safe and inclusive environment. A Level 3 EYFS qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EY qualification is required or equivalent.
• Experience in an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Caring, enthusiastic approach to supporting children.
• Willingness to engage children in play-based learning.
• Reliability and a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

The setting focuses on encouraging engagement through play-based learning while ensuring children feel safe, supported and included throughout their day.

The nursery is looking to take on a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful Level 3 Nursery Practitioner will support children with general day-to-day nursery activities, encourage engagement through play-based teaching and assist with routines including breakfast, lunch and dinner where required.

The successful Level 3 Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent
• Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS
• A caring and enthusiastic approach to supporting children
• A willingness to engage children in play-based learning
• Reliability, flexibility and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
