Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants for temporary positions in Rochdale. You will support children aged 6 months to 4 years, manage small groups, and help create play-based activities that grow communication and social skills. DBS checks and safeguarding awareness may be required. £12.17 - £15.21 per hour.

We offer onboarding support, CPD, and a referral scheme. PAYE payroll ensures correct tax and NI deductions.

The nurseries are looking for enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join their teams on a temporary basis, supporting children aged 6 months to 4 years. As a Nursery Assistant, you will be a positive role model who helps children feel safe, valued and eager to learn. You will confidently manage small groups, encourage positive behaviour, and create engaging play-based activities that develop children's communication, social, cognitive and motor skills. SEND experience is desirable but not essential, as full support and guidance will be provided for the right Nursery Assistant with the right attitude and passion.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:
