About the Role:

Key Responsibilities of a Nursery Assistant:

  • Offer guidance and assistance to students in both their academic and personal growth journeys.
  • Work with children aged 4 months to 4 years: Engage, inspire, and support the growth of our little learners.
  • Track, document, and communicate students' advancements and achievements.
  • Foster a stimulating and enjoyable atmosphere that promotes active participation and learning.
  • Create detailed and personalised lesson plans covering various subjects, customised to meet individual student requirements and in accordance with the National Curriculum standards.

Requirements for the Nursery Assistant role:

  • Open to both qualified and unqualified Nursery Practitioners: Whether you're already qualified up to Level 2/3 or aspiring to kickstart your career, we welcome your enthusiasm and dedication.
  • Passionate about working with children: As a Nursery Practitioner, your genuine love for children will shine through.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Build strong relationships with parents/carers and collaborate effectively with our team.
  • Reliable and Punctual: Demonstrate your commitment to excellence through reliability and punctuality.
  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification (preferred but not required): Take advantage of opportunities for growth and development.

To work with GSL Education as a Nursery Assistant, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.

Please be advised that this Nursery Assistant role requires strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
