Job Title: Nursery Assistant

Location: Highbury Campus, Portsmouth

Salary: £24,424.82- £25,119.37 Full Time Equivalent per annum

Hours of work: 37 Hours per week, Full-Time, 52 Weeks per year

About the role:

The Nursery Assistant will support the Nursery deputies and Nursery practitioners in ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the Nursery. This role involves providing care and support for all children attending the Nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To oversee and participate in children’s activities including planning and observations.
  • To assist the Nursery deputies in devising stimulating activities appropriate to ages and stages of the children and maintain children’s records.
  • To assist in maintaining a clean, healthy and safe environment for the children.
  • To actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
  • To ensure that all children are, at all times, acting and behaving safely.
  • To attend training as necessary and carry out any other duties reasonably required by the Nursery manager.
