Are you a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant looking for a new opportunity? GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated Nursery Assistant for a local school based in Poole.

About the Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the development of young children with Special Educational Needs, in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will work closely with the team to deliver personalised care and learning, helping each child thrive.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide individualised support and care to children, fostering their emotional, social, and academic growth.
  2. Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans that are designed to meet the diverse needs of children with various special educational needs, using a combination of play-based activities and structured learning.
  3. Contribute to the development of a safe, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere where every child feels valued and able to thrive.
  4. Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure each child's needs are met and that they are progressing well.
  5. Support children to develop important life skills, confidence, and independence, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning and personal development.
  6. Embrace and celebrate the diverse backgrounds and abilities of all children, ensuring inclusivity in every aspect of learning and interaction.

Requirements:
  1. A nurturing, patient, and empathetic individual with a passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  2. Previous experience in early years education or supporting children with SEN is preferred.
  3. A commitment to working as part of a team and engaging in ongoing professional development.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to form strong, positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
