Job summary

Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure seeks a qualified Level 2 Nursery Assistant for Mildmay Nursery, an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' setting in Ilford. You will support children's development through play in a warm, inclusive environment and work as part of a caring team.

Essentially, you should have Level 2 childcare/EY qualification, strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding. This is a part-time, on-site role with a supportive organisation and community focus.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 qualification in Childcare/Early Years or an appropriate equivalent.
• Understands how children develop and learn through play.
• Caring, patient and positive approach.
• Understands safeguarding, child protection, health and safety.
• Communicates well with children, families and colleagues.
• Works positively as part of a team and is committed to inclusive practice.
• Previous experience in an early-years or nursery setting would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
