Job summary

Operam Education Group is seeking a caring Nursery Assistant for a welcoming Children's Centre in Islington. The role supports children aged 0-5, with shifts from 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm. A Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable and experience in Early Years with babies is valued.

This long-term, full-time position offers ongoing work into the next academic year. An enhanced DBS check and qualification verification are part of the registration process.

Are you passionate about supporting children in their early development?

We are working with a very welcoming and inclusive Children's Centre based in Islington, and they are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to work with their children aged 0-5 years old.

This is a long-term position starting as soon as possible on a full-time basis with the potential to continue for the next academic year. The Nursery offers flexible shifts between the hours of 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm or 10am - 6pm.

Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you have previous experience working within an Early Years setting, and holding a Level 3 childcare qualification (or similar) is very desirable.

Key Responsibilities as a Nursery Assistant:

• Provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children aged 0-5.
• Support children's physical, emotional, and social development through play and age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with daily routines, including feeding, changing, and sleeping.
• Monitor and record children's development and progress.

What we're looking for:

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare is desirable (but not essential if you have experience in a similar setting)
