We’re looking for a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our growing team and help create a joyful and safe place where children can thrive.

Role Purpose

The Nursery Assistant supports qualified staff in the day-to-day care of children, helping to provide a warm and engaging environment where children feel secure, encouraged, and excited to explore and learn.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate play and learning activities
  • Support daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, and naps
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Set up and tidy away play spaces and materials
  • Observe and interact with children in a positive and caring way
  • Build warm relationships with children, staff, and parents
  • Follow nursery policies, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required
Qualifications
  • A genuine love of working with young children
  • A patient, caring, and energetic personality
  • Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior staff
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
