Job summary

Supply Hive Wales are currently recruiting for a Nursery Assistant to join a friendly early years setting in the CF24 area of Cardiff.

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of their day-to-day learning, development and growth. You'll be helping children build their confidence, independence and social skills while making sure they feel happy, safe and supported.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in nursery, school, childcare or related setting.
• Natural caring, patient and approachable.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and a team player.
• Has Enhanced DBS or willing to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Support children with learning and development through play.
• Involve in age-appropriate activities and help children explore new things.
• Encourage children’s communication, confidence and social skills.
• Support daily nursery routines, including meals and personal care.
• Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children to thrive.
• Work closely with the nursery team to support children throughout the day.

• Getting involved in fun, age-appropriate activities and helping children explore new things
• Encouraging children's communication, confidence and social skills
• Supporting everyday nursery routines, including meals and personal care
• Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment where children can thrive
• Working closely with the nursery team to support the children throughout the day

We’re Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience working with children, whether that’s in a nursery, school, childcare or another relevant setting
• Is naturally caring, patient and approachable
• Enjoys getting involved in children’s play and activities
• Builds positive and trusting relationships with children
• Is reliable, enthusiastic and happy to be part of a team
• Has an Enhanced DBS or is happy to apply for one
