Job description

Nursery Assistant (SG18) - Monday to Friday 7:15am - 4:30pm (term time only) - £11.50 per hour

We are currently looking for passionate and dedicated experienced nursery assistants to join this OFSTED-rated Outstanding Pre-School in SG18. The nursery encourages exploration, investigation, and adventure for children and is committed to their welfare, wellbeing, and development. The role is Monday to Friday, 42 weeks per year (39 weeks of term time plus 3 weeks of holiday activities), from 7:15am to 4:30pm.

What we need from you:

• No childcare qualification required, but at least 1 year of experience in early years childcare
• Commitment
• Passion for delivering outstanding childcare
• Ability to work within a team
• Broad knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding

Your duties will include:

• Taking charge of a key group of children
• Delivering rich learning opportunities and providing exceptional care to support development
• Planning and delivering effective care, teaching, and learning
• Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety, and welfare of children
• Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet individual needs
• Making accurate assessments reflecting children's needs, interests, and developmental stages
