Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to work on a flexible supply basis across nurseries in Derby and surrounding areas. The role involves supporting early years learning and wellbeing in nurturing environments.

Pay is £15.00 per hour with variable hours per nursery needs. Responsibilities include assisting with activities, personal care as required, and maintaining safeguarding policies. Opportunities for short- and long-term assignments, with access to CPD training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in nursery, school, childcare, youth work or similar setting.

Are you an experienced Nursery Assistant looking for flexible work in nurseries across Derby?

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic, caring and reliable Nursery Assistants to work on a supply basis in nurseries throughout Derby and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Nursery Assistants, Early Years Practitioners, Nursery Nurses, Childcare Professionals or individuals with relevant experience working with young children who are looking for flexible working opportunities.

Due to the nature of working on a supply basis, you may be required to work across a variety of nursery settings throughout Derby and the local area. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in different Early Years environments while enjoying flexibility over when and where you work.

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Working hours will vary depending on the individual nursery's requirements, with both short-term and longer-term assignments available.

The Role

As a Supply Nursery Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing within a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting children aged 0-5 years with their learning and development.
• Supporting the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities.
• Helping children develop their communication, social and physical skills.
• Supporting children's individual learning and development needs.
• Building positive and nurturing relationships with children.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging children's confidence and independence.
• Supporting children with personal care, including toileting and mealtimes where required.
• Helping to maintain a safe, clean and stimulating nursery environment.
• Working alongside Nursery Nurses, Early Years Practitioners and other nursery staff.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
