Job summary

Showcase Training Ltd. in Whiteley is recruiting a Nursery Apprentice to join a friendly local nursery. The role offers progression to full-time employment and higher level qualifications through an Early Years apprenticeship.

You will work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, earning £8 per hour, increasing to National Minimum/Living Wage after 12 months. Training will be provided by Showcase Training, with Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship standards and Maths/English skills.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship positions provide Early Years training through Level 2 or Level 3 standards.
• Maths and English Functional Skills required unless exempt.
• Must be able to travel to the employer daily.

Responsibilities

• Creating warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere for children.
• Under supervision you will provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding.
• Acting as key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them.
• Completing all Apprenticeship work as set by Showcase Training Assessor.
• Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children.
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Being aware of the nursery's policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to.
