Job summary

Showcase Training is recruiting a Nursery Apprentice for a friendly local nursery in Denmead. The role offers 22 hours per week with an hourly wage of £8, and the potential to progress to full-time employment and higher level qualifications.

Under supervision you will support children with care and learning, act as key worker for a small group, and complete Apprenticeship work as set by the Assessor. Travel daily to the nursery is required; James can be contacted with queries.

Qualifications

• Willing to train in childcare and complete the Apprenticeship program.
• Able to travel to the nursery on a daily basis.
• Committed to safeguarding and supporting young children.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere for children to develop emotionally, socially and educationally.
• Under supervision, provide all aspects of care including washing, changing and feeding.
• Act as key worker for a small group of children and record observations and planning.
• Complete Apprenticeship work as set by the Assessor.
• Assist with meeting personal and emotional needs of individual children.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
• Follow the nursery's policies and procedures.
