Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group is recruiting a Modern Apprentice in Early Years. You will train alongside experienced childcare professionals while working towards a Level 3 qualification and gaining hands-on experience in our nursery setting.

We invite applicants from 17 years old who are passionate about supporting children's learning and development. The role includes 40 hours per week, with 20% allocated to off-the-job learning, and pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• No previous childcare experience required.
• Applicants aged 17+ welcome to apply.
• Training toward Level 3 Early Years qualification will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support children with daily routines, care and wellbeing.
• Create engaging activities in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Follow nursery policies, safeguarding procedures and health & safety guidance.
• Participate in off-the-job learning (20% of time) with support from assessors.

At Toad Hall Nursery, we welcome applicants from 17 years old, who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

We are recruiting enthusiastic Modern Apprentices to train alongside our experienced childcare professionals while working towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years.

How will I train as an apprentice?

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 20% of your time dedicated to off-the-job learning.

This includes supported study time to complete tasks set by your Assessor, with guidance from both your training provider and our experienced nursery team.

If you haven’t studied for a while, don’t worry – we’ll support you every step of the way.

What does the future look like after my apprenticeship?

Once qualified, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for Nursery Nurse roles advertised internally, with the potential to build a long-term career within our growing Nursery Group.

Many of our apprentices continue to progress and develop their careers in Early Years with us.

Is there anything else I should know?

Before confirming a start date, we will complete pre-employment checks, including:

• An Enhanced DBS check
