A nursery in Berkhamsted is seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their team. They also have an opening for a Room Leader.

The nursery operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. You will work on a shift rota, approximately 9 hours a day including a 1-hour lunch break.

Employment Types:

1. Full-time: Monday to Friday, all year round, 40 hours per week, shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
2. Part-time: 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday, all year round.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the policies and procedures of the nursery.
• Work as part of the team and assist in various duties.
• Maintain recommended staff/child ratios at all times.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment and report health and safety concerns.
• Keep records of children's daily activities and communicate with parents.
• Supervise mealtimes and ensure dietary requirements are met.
• Be flexible to work in different areas of the nursery to ensure smooth operation.
• Serve as a key person to a small group of children, providing support for their care and development.
• Make observations and keep learning journals up to date.
• Participate in planning activities suited to children's needs and development stages.
• Contribute to displays and effective practice within the room.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Assist in maintaining the room's operation in the absence of the Room Leader.
• Attend after-hours staff meetings to discuss nursery practices.

Salary:

• Level 2: £22,299 gross per annum
• Level 3: £24,505 gross per annum
