Job summary

Exemplar Health Care's Havenmere care home in Immingham is hiring a Unit Manager (RGN, RMN, RNLD) to lead a nursing and care team and drive quality care. You will work under the Clinical Nurse Manager to uphold high standards on your unit and empower staff to deliver person-centred care.

You must be a registered nurse with an active NMC PIN and have post-registration management experience. This role offers strong development opportunities within a supportive, well-staffed setting.

Qualifications

• First-level NMC registered nurse with a valid PIN.
• Management or supervisory experience in a care setting.
• Strong leadership to develop high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Lead your unit's care and nursing teams to meet medical and emotional needs.
• Provide strong leadership to maintain high standards of care and drive improvement.
• Oversee all clinical elements and risks on your unit.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are current and reflect interventions.
• Act as Named Nurse for residents, overseeing care profiles.
• Supervise medication management including ordering, storage and disposal.

Contract type: 42 hours per week (12 hour shifts), days and nights

Rate: £22.95 per hour

About The Role

As a Unit Manager with Exemplar Health Care, you’ll be at the forefront of clinical care delivery for the people living on your designated unit.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• leading your unit’s care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical and emotional needs of the people we support
• providing strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement
• overseeing and managing all your unit’s clinical elements and risks
• ensuring care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately
• acting as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review and update of their care profiles
• the supervision and management of your unit’s ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of medication
