Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with experience in Oncology or Haematology.
  • Proven leadership and teaching skills in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate nursing care autonomously.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care to patients in the Chemotherapy Suite.
  • Coordinate the management of the unit and support staff education.
  • Work independently and support the ward Sister as needed.

We are recruiting for a Nurse Team Leader who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We are looking for that special person who enjoys a challenge and ready to commit to the role of team leader within our dynamic SACT day unit based at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

The day unit has 20 treatment chairs and operates from 08:00 - 20:00 Monday to Friday treating adult patients with Chemotherapy, immunotherapies and targeted cancer therapies.

Main duties of the job

The Nurse Team Leader will be responsible for delivering a high standard of specialist nursing care to all patients within MVCC. Able to coordinate the overall management of the Unit.

Facilitating the education and support of qualified and unqualified staff and participating in the development of nursing practice in the clinical area.

Working independently/autonomously without direct supervision, accountable for own professional actions.

Take an active role in deputising and supporting the ward Sister.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre staff as we move to an exciting new future.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,314 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata.
