Weare pleased to advertise this exciting opportunity for a band 6 clinicalnurse specialist to work 30 hours per week with the Urology/ Oncology team.The post holder will provide advanced, highly specialist nursing care andadvice to patients and their families diagnosed with penile and germ cellcancers.
Weare looking for a motivated, enthusiastic nurse with excellent communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as partof a team. You will require relevant experience at band 5 level.
Thepost holder will actively be involved in the development, implementation, andaudit of patient care.

Thepost holder will be responsible to the nurse specialist team leader. You willhave an office base within Lincoln wing, St James, but will be required towork in other departments within St. James.
Thepost holder will work with the penile/ germ cell Uro-Oncology CNS team andsupport our service for patients who are having cancer treatments within theLeeds Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for acase load of patients undergoing various treatments ensuring they areassessed managed and in accordance with local and national standards andguidelines
Withthe appropriate support and training we expect the individual to provideadvice, information and support to patients, carers and staff regardingtreatment and McMillan services. We expect the individual to provide care forpatients in line with Trust and Government strategies and targets. Incollaboration with senior medical and nursing & AHP staff the post holderwill assist in the support of research, audit and quality assurance projects.
