Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this fantastic Aboriginal Health Service in NSW to help them find a Nurse Practitioner to join their team on an agency contract basis.

  • 6-12 week agency contract options
  • Commencing within the next 2 weeks or asap
  • Up to $90 p / h AM rates + shift penalties + 11.5% superannuation
  • Monday – Friday NO WEEKENDS
  • Return travel provided from within Australia

Location

You will be working with a fantastic Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) offering a wide range of services including general practice, preventative health, chronic disease management, child health and immunisations, mental health support, dental care and drug and alcohol counselling. With a strong commitment to culturally sensitive care this AMS acknowledges the traditional lands of the Ngemba People and serves the community with a focus on holistic wellbeing for individuals and families.

  • Located on the Western Plains of outback New South Wales you will be living in a town that offers visitors a unique blend of cultural richness, historical significance, and natural beauty. You will not be short of places to explore or cultural experience to immerse yourself in on your days off, from;

Cultural Significance : Situated on the traditional lands of the Ngemba, Murrawarri, Euahlayi (Yuwaalaraay), Weilwan and Barranbinya peoples, this town serves as a living testament to Aboriginal heritage with 68% of its population identifying as Indigenous.

Historic Landmarks and museums : The town boasts several heritage-listed sites, including the historic courthouse and iconic structures. The local museum offers authentic opportunities to learn about the rich Indigenous heritage of the area through exhibits and cultural displays.

Natural Beauty : Offering picturesque parks along lakes and rivers, providing serene spots for relaxation and picnicking this surrounding landscape is ideal for nature enthusiasts, with opportunities for fishing, boating, and birdwatching.

To be eligible you must :

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities desirable
  • Must have a Medicare Provider Number
  • Have Full AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication with no restrictions
  • All competencies up to date
  • Must have full Australian working rights (i.e. Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
