Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Redruth. The role focuses on autonomous NP-led clinics, urgent on-the-day demand, and maintaining smooth daily clinical activity.

You will deliver independent triage, assess and manage minor illness presentations, prescribe where qualified, and support GPs and Practice Nurses within a friendly multidisciplinary team. Regular or ad-hoc sessions are available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification is desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS completed.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and urgent care NP clinics.
• Telephone triage and patient streaming.
• Assess, diagnose and manage undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribe independently where qualified.
• Review investigations and follow-up tasks.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the clinical system.
• Support GPs and Practice Nurses with core duties.
