Role: Nursery Nurse

Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)

Salary: £90-£105 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Start Date: October 2025

About the role

Are you an experienced Nursery Nurse or Early Years Teacher with a gentle, hands-on approach? Join our team at Heart of Supply and help give little learners the strongest possible start.

As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting children's development across all areas of learning, from language and physical development to social and emotional growth. With warmth, patience, and a keen eye for detail, you'll help create a nurturing space where every child feels safe, supported, and ready to explore the world around them.

About the school

We work in partnership with a wide network of welcoming, well-supported schools and nurseries across Lincoln and the surrounding areas, including primary and secondary schools, academies, local authority provisions, and specialist SEND settings. Whether you're passionate about early years, KS2, or supporting pupils with additional needs, we'll match you with settings that align with your skills and values. As a Heart of Supply educator, you'll be part of a growing team making a real difference in the classroom and beyond, gaining valuable experience across diverse environments.

What you will need:
  • A relevant early year's qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent)
  • Recent experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery, preschool, or early years setting
  • A warm, hands-on approach and a strong understanding of early development
  • Confidence supporting children's learning through play and observation in line with the EYFS
  • A calm, patient nature and excellent communication skills with children, colleagues, and families
  • A commitment to safeguarding and creating a secure environment for every child
