Nurse at New Elmcroft - £22.60 per Hour

Working Hours: 1945hrs- 0800hrs. 36 hours a week, alternate weekends

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to join our team at New Elmcroft in Shoreham by Sea. Our team is committed to providing high-quality care to our elderly residents, including those with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson’s, or other clinical conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with our care team to ensure the best possible care for our residents, utilizing the latest care technology to enhance their quality of life. New Elmcroft has an excellent reputation as a highly valued care provider, with residents' needs at the center of all we do.

About the service:

Located in a quiet residential area in Shoreham by Sea, near Brighton and Worthing, New Elmcroft is a modern, spacious care home with 60 single en-suite bedrooms divided into 6 self-contained units, each with its own lounge/dining area. We prioritize the privacy and dignity of each resident, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.

We are looking for a Nurse to provide high-quality care to our elderly residents. The role involves working with a dedicated team to assess needs, administer medication, provide wound and palliative care, and support residents with daily activities, ensuring compliance with CQC standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health and care needs, develop care plans
  • Administer medication and monitor responses
  • Provide nursing care, including wound and palliative care
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals for personalized care
  • Support residents with daily activities (bathing, dressing, toileting)
  • Offer emotional support to residents and families
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with CQC guidelines
  • Contribute to policy development and staff training

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in elderly care, including dementia care
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Teamwork and independent working abilities
