The Clinical Nurse Specialist will play a key role within the Adult Neurodevelopmental Service - ADHD Service, working as part of a small, skilled team including an NMP, Nurse Associate, Consultant Psychiatrist, and Admin staff. As a Nurse Independent Prescriber, the post holder will conduct specialist ADHD assessments, initiate and adjust medication following clinical guidelines, and provide safe, evidence-based prescribing. This role also involves advanced clinical interventions, ongoing case management, and close collaboration with the consultant psychiatrist to ensure high-quality, person-centred care. The team delivers core functions such as the ADHD Transitions Service and the Annual Review Service for ADHD. The post holder will serve as the principal link for young people transitioning from Children's Specialist Mental Health Services to adult care, and for adults requiring annual medication reviews under Shared Care Agreements with their GPs.
