Adventist HealthCare is hiring a full-time, PACU/Pre Operative Nurse Manager in Rockville, Maryland. Qualified candidates will be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Nurse Manager of PACU & Pre-Operative Services you will:
  1. Oversee day to day operations of PreOp Holding, PACU I and II, and PreAdmission Testing
  2. Role-model positive customer service behaviors.
  3. Role-model and encourage professional practice (to include nurse autonomy, authority, accountability, and responsibility) within their department.
  4. Operationalize the strategic plan for their department.
  5. Establish, role-models, and upholds the standards of practice and expectations for the staff, monitoring performance, behaviors, competency, and conducts performance reviews.
  6. Consistently, timely, and accurately completes tasks necessary for service recovery, complaints, near misses, and adverse events.
  7. Actively leads and encourages staff participation in continuous improvement efforts, DMAICs, and shared governance.
  8. Promote cohesive work teams and constructive conflict resolution both within the department and organization.
  9. Identify and monitors resources necessary for safe delivery of patient care to include labor, equipment, and facilities in the department.
  10. Execute other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
  1. Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required
  2. Master’s degree preferred
  3. Three years of work experience in PACU and/or preoperative services
  4. Supervisory experience preferred
  5. Current Maryland State nursing license
  6. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
  7. Certification in leadership within 1 year of Eligibility
  8. Participation in professional organizations
Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday. 24/7 accountability.
